Philips IntelliSpace Perinatal named 2017 KLAS Category Leader for Labor and Delivery Software

Amsterdam, the Netherlands - Royal Philips (NYSE: PHG,AEX: PHIA), a global leader in health technology,  today announced that its IntelliSpace Perinatal was named 2017 Category Leader in the Labor & Delivery software category in the U.S. in the recently published 2017 Best in KLAS: Software & Services report. The KLAS report names the top-performing healthcare IT software suppliers in global markets as reported by healthcare providers. The Category Leader designation is reserved for vendor solutions that lead select market segments in which at least two products meet a minimum level of KLAS Konfidence.

 

The award recognizes Philips' commitment to expanding applications that support perinatal excellence for mother and child care by helping simplify clinician workflow and deliver a healthy new generation through excellent care for mothers and babies.

 

IntelliSpace Perinatal is designed to provide complete coverage across the obstetrical care continuum, from first antepartum visit through labor, delivery, postpartum, discharge and follow-up visits. In hundreds of hospitals worldwide, IntelliSpace Perinatal provides clinicians with the ability to capture comprehensive records while providing a more flexible birth experience. Aside from recording the data on individual patient cases as they occur, IntelliSpace Perinatal helps institutions with clinical and administrative reports by archiving patient data as well as assessing the quality of care being delivered   and interfacing their fetal monitors to their EMR.

 

KLAS interviews healthcare professionals each year about the products and services used by their respective organizations by using a standard quantitative evaluation.
