I enjoy hiking, anything involving water, immersing myself in art museums, fashion, keeping up on unicorns in tech and the best apps. And when time permits, I might pull out the occasional sewing or quilting project and take an adult ballet class here or there.


Hello! My name is Ali Mondragon and I am a Pre-Sales Clinical Consultant at Philips. I joined Philips in September 2014 after learning about Philips Healthcare through an ex-coworker who had left his career as a bedside nurse to pursue an opportunity at Philips. We kept in touch over the years, and after I completed my graduate studies he let me know there was a position available at Philips and thought I would be a great fit. In my position I am the only Clinical Consultant for my territory. My sales team relies on my expertise when we have workflow discussions with hospital management to guide them toward the most optimal Philips solution for both their facility’s short-term or long-term needs. I possess both the clinical expertise mixed with a business brain that thinks in terms of strategy, value, and how process improvement might come into play. It is also my job to be an expert on Philips products and solutions within the Patient Care and Monitoring Solutions line. When I made the decision to go back to graduate school for a business degree, I had hoped that post-degree I would find a job that would allow me to utilize my nursing degree and my medical expertise as well as my newly acquired business smarts. My Pre-Sales Clinical Consultant position allows me to put all of my clinical background and business school experience into play - every day!

 

The past nine months with Philips has proven to be everything I had hoped for in a new career. It is challenging, diverse, and I am constantly learning new things. One of the things I love most about working at Philips is that my job takes me all over the nation. I get to collaborate with healthcare professionals across the U.S. and consult on best practices and ways to improve patient care. Having worked in healthcare prior for the past ten years, I know that it’s a constant changing environment based upon trends, studies and regulations. However, working for a company like Philips is a force to be reckoned with, because it merges healthcare with innovative technology solutions.
