The Simplicity Event 2008 at Moscow’s Red Square

Previous Simplicity Events

Since 2005, the Simplicity Event has been one of our most inspiring and engaging avenues to demonstrate our commitment and leadership in delivering “sense and simplicity” to people. Previous events have been held in Paris, Amsterdam, New York, London, Hong Kong, Sao Paolo and Moscow.

Philips’ choice to host this year’s event in Russia highlights its commitment to grow and reinforce its position as a leading health and well-being brand in this important market.

The concepts and products presented at the Event illustrate the Philips’ brand vision to contribute significantly to the health and well-being of people across the globe, supporting its ambition to be the leading brand in Health and Well-being. Philips is also putting strong focus on collective well-being, and helping to create a sustainable global society to protect our environment for future generations.

Healthy People, Healthy Living, Healthy Planet

In line with the theme of this year’s event, ‘Healthy People, Healthy Living, Healthy Planet’, the concepts presented at the Simplicity Event 2008 particularly focus on the responsible domestic use of resources, harnessing renewable energy and the responsible consumption of goods.

Commenting on the Simplicity Event in Moscow, Geert van Kuyck, Chief Marketing Officer for Philips said “The Simplicity Event this year brings into sharp focus the positive impact that Philips can have on people’ lives – on their health, environment, security and sense of well-being. Some of the future concepts that we presented outline Philips’ vision of a sustainable future in which we will continue to delight our customers, even while we make it simple for them to make responsible choices for the environment.”
