Best trimmer I have owned.I always look for the best trimmer I can find. I read the reviews from multiple sources before making a decision. I have owned some very good trimmers but would without hesitation rate this the best overall.

Just what I neededI was looking for an economical beard and hair trimmer and the Philips Norelco BT5210 does the job. 2-3 mm is perfect for my beard and the hair trimming combs allow me to keep a neat trim. I'm bald on top and prefer to keep hair on the sides and top just long enough to comb down. I'm 70 years old and both my beard and hair are silver.

Some good/Some badI received a free sample of the head and beard trimmer to review. It does some things well and some things poorly. Set up and use is straight forward and simple. It`s sleek and the blade cuts well, doesn`t tug. With that said, the range of length which you can choose from is fairly small and can be frustrating. The longest length for the beard trimmer is very short, so if you are someone that likes to keep a thick and full beard, this trimmer will not do the job for you. If you like to keep it really close, maybe a weeks length at most, this trimmer will work for your beard.
As for trimming hair on your head, it cuts well, but again, the lengths are restricting. I wish it allowed for longer lengths.
Overall, while the quality and feel is very good, it isn`t a very flexible trimmer in terms of allowing you to keep your hair/beard at various lengths.

Shaggy to GroomedI received this product to review.
Regardless, I was very happy with the razor’s performance and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a midrange electric razor.
I’m new to having a beard and thus far have been using a cheaper model which needs to be plugged in to use. It seems petty, but the simple requirement of having to take the time to attach the razor to the outlet before a shave resulted in spending most of my time with an unkempt face. Now that I’ve been using the Phillips 5100, I just charge it up and keep it next to my sink. After brushing my teeth I grab the razor and run it over my face for 10 seconds. As a result I’ve gone from shaggy to groomed.
So far I’ve found that the unit holds its charge very well. I charged it once upon opening it up and 10 days later it hasn’t begun to fade.
Adding to its ease of use are the simple clipper attachments. I appreciate that they have a nice groove to slide into so that there’s no doubt about attaching them correctly, and once one it’s easy to adjust the desired shave length with a fun dial. There is a manual but I didn’t need it, just slapped on the clippers, fiddled with the dial and started shaving. Results were clean and quick.
- Great for a midrange. I’d give it 4 out of 5 stars.

Product works really wellSo I received this item for free a month ago from Philips Norelco through Bzzagent in exchange for a review. All I had to do was try it,
So then I received my Philips Norelco Beard and Head trimmer and I thought, `okay, nice packaging`. I open it up and I was surprised, pleasantly, that it had a nice feel to it. It doesn`t feel cheap at all. My wife bought me a Philips shaver a few years ago and I love that thing and when I felt the trimmer in my hand it reminded me of my shaver that I love and now I`m thinking maybe I have a serious duo here between the shaver and the new trimmer.
Anyway I waited awhile to write this review because I wanted to make sure if there was anything weird or quirky I was going to realize about the trimmer, I would do so before writing the review. So it`s been almost exactly a month to the day and so far it`s great! I am really pleased with it. The guides actually seem really stable and secure to give a nice even trim which can be rare among these trimmers and they click in and out easily (comes with 3), and what surprised me even more (and every time I turn the thing on) is that the motor is really powerful! When being used on battery power (yes, it can be used while plugged in OR on battery power, and the cord locks into the trimmer nicely to really make it feel like corded clippers, you could act as though it has no battery) I don`t notice any loss of power! When I kick this baby on it comes on strong, reminds me of my pair of barber clippers I have, really! Works well for my mustache too, not so big that I can`t shave the `stache with it, but not so small to take forever to trim your face or head with it either. Works well with no guide/ guard on as well. Shaves nice and close like to prep for a razor shave or to just be stubbly, but not so close as to keep nicking you if you hold it wrong.

A Jack of All Trades Trimmer For The Modern Man!I have received this trimmer in exchange for an honest review.
The first thing I noticed about this trimmer is the style. I really liked the style of this trimmer. It fits well into my hand (my hands are not particularly huge either) and because of this, I was able to maneuver the trimmer well with just one hand.
First, I used the trimmer without any attachments to trim around my lip area. The trimmer was very sharp and effective in precisely trimming and grooming around my lips. I was able to obtain the desired look with ease.
After that I tried one of the attachments. At first, I wasn`t sure how to put on the attachment and I felt like the attachments plastic did not match the quality of the trimmer itself. They felt flimsy and if I pushed too hard they would break. Unfortunately, these trimmer attachments were my least favorite aspect of the trimmer. Once I was able to get the attachment on, the beard trimmer sprung into action and seemed to trim my hair more accurately and faster than my previous Norelco trimmer...albeit a less expensive one and one that is powered by a couple of AA batteries.
Also, it should be mentioned that I was able to dial in the right size for the trimmer with ease and I appreciated all the various length options which my other trimmers do not have.
I have been using this trimmer for over a week now and it has quickly become my `go to` trimmer. Before I used two different trimmers, depending on my desired beard length, but now I just use this trimmer. Also, I have not had to recharge the battery, so battery life is solid and as expected.
I would definitely recommend this trimmer to anyone that is looking for a universal trimmer for their beard or even their body. It is fast and sharp, has great diversity, and offers reasonable quality and battery life for the money. My only gripe is that I wish the attachments were made from a stronger plastic and were easier to attach.
