The alarm clock and light wake-up was nice, but the light burned out in less than one year. Not worth it for the cost.

Rated 4 out of 5 by bsclywilly great lamp and customer service
I bought the previous version if this lamp and had a few problems that were quickly fixed with a call and a replacement unit. This model has worked without problems for the last year. The wake up lamp is a godsend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Eddie771 Product is Simple to Use
I purchased the Phillips product almost a year now and it is simple to use and the adjustable light help me wake up with ease in the morning, especially in the winter time where the light I little to none in the north. I have recommended this several times to coworkers and friends where they too have experienced the same enjoyed result. For what it I worth, I highly recommend this product

Rated 5 out of 5 by SamP Mornings are much nicer now.
I've been using the wake-up light for about four years. It was gifted to me by a client in the darkest days of winter (I am a personal trainer and get up long before sunrise). At the time, I was living in Boston so it was extra dark. Wicked daahhk, some might say. The light really does begin to lull you out of sleep before the alarm goes off, and the gentle nature sounds or chimes are so much nicer than buzzing, beeping, or static-y radio, especially if you wake up to regular radio where you might catch a commercial. It's much less jarring and makes for a much more pleasant morning. If you are not a morning person, you should try this. ESPECIALLY GOOD FOR PEOPLE WHO WAKE UP IN THE DARK.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Tracy81 Excellent product, but would suggest a few design changes
First, the product works great. I love being able to wake up to the gradual increase in light; usually I am awake before the alarm sounds even come on. The only issues I have are the "touch snooze" feature, which is supposed to mean you tap the side of the light unit to put it into Snooze instead of a specific button. I usually end up having to tap it several times to get it to register and go to Snooze. My other complaint is the force needed to push the menu buttons on the front. I set the alarm using one hand, and the whole unit slides back against the wall before the buttons depress, then I have to pull it forward again after I've finished setting it.
I consider those two things pretty minor issues. Overall, I love my Wake-Up Light!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by DeepFieldSouth1 Great for Night Shifters, or vampires.
I work the night shift (5pm-5am) and have to have my windows blacked out from sunlight. I worked this shift for over a year, waking up to the scream of my alarm clock in a pitch black room. Then I saw this advertised. That was a year ago.
With the degrees of increasing light and soothing (if you choose) wake-up alarms, I wake up much easier and not as annoyed or groggy. I've already told most of my other coworkers about this, as I find it amazing for working the night shift.

I love this clock. When it worked, it woke me up gently and allowed me to get up earlier than I thought possible. BUT after about a year, the radio started turning on by itself at all hours of the day and night. I wish it worked, but I've never encountered a buggier product.

Rated 2 out of 5 by LivingintheDark Bulb can't be replaced
I bought this product and LOVED it, woke up in a much less crabby mood and so naturally it was scary. One minute I would be sound asleep, the next my eyes would open because there was light in the room. LOVED IT...until the light stopped working after about a month. And only then did I realize that the bulb in this particular model cannot be replaced - which now makes it pretty useless. However, I did love the other features of this product - especially that you can control the brightness of the display and that the ONLY thing that displays is the numerals for the time... not an entire back lit area like most other clocks. I also like that it has an option for FM clock, dusk simulator, using it just as a lamp and the nature sounds are the least annoying of any I have found. I am very dissappointed about the light in this product - but am on the hunt for a different Philips model that has a replaceable bulb.
