Rated 3 out of 5 by CarGuyCT Noisy, Premature Failures, Not as durable as they used to be
Positives: Brush heads clean well.
Negatives: Had a brush head completely fail within a month - extremely noisy internal parts, buzzy, etc, then completely stopped working. Put new head on - handle is OK - was bad brush head.
These heads do not seem to be anywhere as durable or quiet as the older designs used to be, and the bristles do not last very long considering the steep cost per head (even when purchased in multi-packs).
Sonicare should ideally redesign these with more durable components and longer-lasting bristles, and reduce the cost of the heads significantly. The toothbrushes are expensive enough up-front. My original handle lasted 10+ years, now I'm lucky to get 2 years out of them before they fail (battery, seals, etc) Seems like they are cutting corners to save $.

Since I have been using the Philips Sonicare
toothbrush my teeth feel cleaner. I will not know if it is getting my teeth cleaner or if I have as much plaque till my next dental cleaning which is in a couple of months. One thing I am wondering when do I know when to change the brush as I surly can't remember when 3 months are up. All in all I feel this tooth brush is doing a better job than my other spin brush. It was recommended by my dentist.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Robyn10 My favorite toothbrush ever!
I love this toothbrush. My teeth get to feel like I had a cleaning with the dental hygenist every day! I love the timer, too. In the past I would try to watch the clock, to brush my teeth for two minutes, but I don't have to do that anymore. I also like the small brush head, which makes it easy to get into the hard-to-reach places in my mouth.
I get regular compliments about how white my teeth are. I don't use any special cleaning strips, just toothpaste. I think the white teeth come from the good cleaning they get everyday.

My old Sonicare tooth brush used some sort of magnetic system to make the brush vibrate. The one I currently have seems to be a direct drive and it vibrates and is much noisier than my previous Sonicare. The former toothbrush had to be replaced because the battery could not hold a charge.

After 1 month of using the brush twice per day, there is still some blue in the bristles, but it seems to have become rather soft, so replacements are not lasting as long as I think they should. However, I am not sure whether the brush is still good as long as there is still blue bristle apparent.

This new design is brutal. I loved the HX6013 design. I am in search of the HX6013 and will probably have to buy Generic instead of Philips Sonicare brand.
