Philips AVENT Comfort Manual breast pump SCF330/20 One 4oz bottle and nipple Portable, ideal for on the go
doesn't even stay together
Waste of money worst pump out there . no suction what so ever and on top of it it doesn't even stay together. Have to hold the top part where the pump attaches to the bottle most annoying thing I ever dealt with. Good job creating a product that addds more stress to an already stressful time in a moms life. Wish I didn't buy would take back if I could.

Unhappy with the suction and product performance this time around
I purchased this same manual breast pump 10 years ago when I had my son and loved it! This time around the suction is horrible. I tried to take it back to the store since I was unhappy with it and didn't really use it. Couldn't return it as it states it on the bottom of the box and there was nothing that the Avent company could do. I chatted with a rep who told me the store should take it back and that they couldn't refund me because there was nothing wrong with the product. Well, not the product itself, but the performance was horrible and I wouldn't recommend it. It is not cheap and now I have to purchase another pump.

Bought mine a few mo. back while I was rounding the end of my pregnancy
Been using just shy of 4 weeks...
This manual pump actually gives me more milk for the time over my double auto-pump(Playtex). Also better suction than the auto. Sometimes it makes the area just around the base of the nipple sore where the suction can plump up nipple area causing the base of the nipples to rub on the sides a little. Ouch. Milk gathers in massage holes in the funnel leading to milk mess on detachment I've found no position that prevents this.
Still I prefer this pump, but I'd advise new users to keep each pumping session brief & keep a rag or washcloth handy for clean up before you detach.
Though I do wish that you had a choice in sizes I feel like this would fix the pain issue.

the star shaped white valve is a joke
the white valve is sucked into my pump about every 5 seconds, this is frustrating, I have to pump at work which in itself is a huge pain to try to get done without having to fish out the valve while pumping. At first I was impressed with the suction that it put out, although that level of suction is probably unnecessary, it is effective, but then the valve kept getting sucked up and I have tried all kinds of techniques to avoid this issues ...none have worked so far.

definitely NOT and improvement on the original
I have used avent manual breast pumps for all 3 of my children now. I bought the original manual isis in 2003 and when i had my 2nd baby in 2011 i decided to update and bought a new one. I go through diaphragms like crazy. Some of them are shoddy and don't even last a week others are better and can last me a month. I sent my husband to the only store near us to get more diaphragms and it was a bit of an emergency so when he said they didn't have any more in stock i told him to just buy the new pump and i would see how i liked it because it is supposed to be better. I thought it would be great not to have to worry about drips and maybe not lean forward so far to pump. The suction is almost too strong even with a light squeeze of the handle compared to my old worn in one. The massage cushion is a little tight for me so i probably would need the larger cushion. The problem i have is after using it for a day my hand ached all over and i had a huge bruise on the back of my hand where it rubs between my thumb and pointer. I thought it would just take some getting used to but by the end of the second day it was so sore i just couldn't use the new pump any more. Now i don't know just what i will do. My first pump the handle actually wore out and broke. My second pump is well on its way there but i don't think i can use the new pump it is just too hard on my hand and that is a lot coming from a full time manual pump user. I would not call this an improvement on the old. *But i definitely would recommend the old pump.

14 years and 4 babies!
That pretty much sums it up. I have had this hand pump for all 4 of my children ranging from 14 years to 4 months and still love it. The children all breastfed for 2 years while I was a full time working mom. It has more suction than my fancy double electric pump and is so easy to pack along anywhere. Love it!

Used 11yrs ago, will use again
My Mother bought this pump for me 11 years ago. Being in the military I have to pump in various places. I contemplated getting an electric, but after reading review after review I think I will stick with a manual. It's quiet, expresses a ton of milk, and super easy and comfy once you get the hang of it. I may purchase 2 so I can dual pump at work.
