I got this because the advertisement said that it would help out with comfort in small or inverted nipples which I have. It WAS comfortable. But the motor life was abysmal. I didn't really use it much before it started to die. I got a different pumping system and it was just as comfortable but did the job in a fraction of the time. I feel like I wasted my money.

I bought this to aid me in the beginning of breastfeeding. I did not buy this to exclusively pump. Its plugs into the wall or can be used with AA batteries. It has a suckling setting to start with and then starts with low, medium, high setting. Its pretty gentle even on the high setting. Its really easy to clean and store. Its good for travel if needed because it's small and compact.

The motor completely stopped working. It doesn't suck and shuts off after a few pulses. I've only used it for about 6 months.
However, I did really like it while it worked.

Rated 4 out of 5 by MegP True to the Philips Avent brand
First, I must tell you I received a free pump in exchange for my honest review. This pump is pretty similar to the other Philips Avent pump I have used. A nice thing about this pump is that you don`t have to lean forward to use it so it can be a bit more comfortable (comfort is key to pumping!). I have a strong letdown and for others like me, if you are using a single you may want to have an extra bottle/cup to catch milk from the other side while you pump.
I am honestly not a huge fan of pumping in general (I AM a fan of breastmilk but typically find pumping to be less comfortable and more work than breastfeeding) so a few tips for those who are new to pumping and think this pump (or any pump) is not working for them: Comfort is important. If you are stressed or scared of using the pump, do your best to calm down. I know it sounds silly but dim the lights, play relaxing music, breathe deeply, and think warm thoughts about your baby. If you are using a single and have the ability to, try pumping on one side while feeding your baby on the other. I found it helped me get used to pumping and I generally was able to get more milk this way.

Rated 5 out of 5 by MelissaR Small pump with big results
I received this pump as a sample in exchange for my honest review. I have only ever used a hand pump as I don't pump very often. This pump is excellent. It is easy to use and comfortable too. I like the compact design and that there aren't a ton of parts to maintain. It does a great job and I like that the amount of suction can be controlled to your comfort level. And there are no tubes to wash or boil. It's a great pump for someone that mostly breastfeeds but needs the occasional bottle.

Rated 4 out of 5 by ChantaM easy to use
I received this item for free in exchange for my review. This was one of the on the easiest pumps I have ever used. The system worked well with the storage cups. This electric pump did its job on a breast at a time and I achieved great amounts of milk from both breasts. It was comfortable and fit and it actually worked. I had not worries while using this pump.

Rated 3 out of 5 by ValerieD Good if you want a single pump
The person who wrote this review received a free sample for providing an open and honest review of the product.
I have used 3 pumps previously - 2 different brands of double pumps and a manual, single pump. Compared to those, the suction works well (better than a manual pump) and its great not to need to lean forward but I prefer a double pump to save time. Also, the cushion was soft but I found unnecessary and a bit bulky (and another piece to clean).
Additionally, I was disappointed to see that not all of the pieces were sealed in plastic but rather were loose in the box.
