I was gifted a three-pack of the pink 9 oz bottles for my baby shower. I began using them in November, when we transitioned to bottle feeding. By December, the markers to indicate how many oz of water had started coming off! I use and wash according to the directions. I bought a second set, but in clear, before this started happening. Those ones were 30% less expensive, and have not shown any signs of fading. Do yourself a favor and buy the original clear ones. Great bottles, but rendered useless if you cannot see how much you're filling them with.

It leaks and the teat collapses regularly! Very annoying, especially at night!

While the bottle is very easy to use and looks nice, they leak. A bunch. To me, it looks like the lip of the nipple that fits around the top of the bottle is a bit too long. If screwed on all the way the nipple interferes with the threads on the bottle, deforming the seal and causing the leak. Either the bottle or the nipple would need to be modified. Design flaw or quality control issue. Our baby did like the shape of the nipple and took to the bottles easily - it is just frustrating to see the amount of milk drips out. It's a steady stream. I will be searching for another brand of bottle. If these did not leak, I would recommend. Since they leak, a lot, I would not recommend these bottles.

Leaks, leaks, leaks. Imagine trying to feed your baby and he is already hungry and the bottle is leaking. I never used the dishwasher to wash my bottles so I don't understand why leaking. .All of the natural bottles. They are not made correctly.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Jleo627 Poorly designed
As a first time mother I chose this product because it looked easy to assemble and I wanted to provide the most natural experience for my baby. The cover on this bottle is poorly designed and my hands started to hurt from trying to open the cover. The indentation on the bottle cover does not help and the size of the cover makes it hard to grip. I believe whom ever designed this bottle did not have first hand experience in trying to make a bottle in the middle of the night with a crying and hungry baby. I received 6 - 4 oz bottles from my registry and returned the other 6-9oz bottles back to the store.
I have since purchased the classic bottles which have a smaller cover and found it to be somewhat easier to open.
I like avent bottles because it doesn't have all the other gimmicks some brands have to prevent colic with their extra parts, etc. as a busy mom, I don't have time to wash all the extra parts. Just give me a bottle and a cover that I can easily open.

Rated 1 out of 5 by lovemygirls Nipple caves in and numbers have erased
With my first child I used the traditional bottle, every time I would forget to put the valve on I would soak myself and my daughter. With my second I figured I would try the new design that didn't require the valve and my experience has been worse.
The nipple caves in especially when she is really hungry and sucks hard. It becomes very frustrating to hear her cry. The numbers on the pink bottles have also erased making it very difficult to measure accurately. I find myself using the old bottle to measure the amount of liquid I need.

We tried two other bottles before this one when introducing our daughter to bottles, and she refused to drink from either. She loves the Avent natural bottles. We have been using them for three months and the nipples have not collapsed and the measurement numbers are still printed on the side. I am exclusively breastfeeding so we only use bottles of expressed breastmilk occasionally.
