Tricky at firstI used the classic nipples with my oldest son and when I saw the new design I bought these for our new baby. I was having trouble with the nipples leaking and being sucked in. I looked it up and realized you have align the nipples just right with the rim. Once I did that everything has worked well. I don't really like that you have to align the nipples and the top is so hard to take off. If they could fix these 2 issues I'd give them 5 stars.

great bottlesWell, I'm truly surprised by the negative reviews here... We have 3 different brands at home and so far the avent bottles seem to be my son's favorite... I breastfeed and use formula on a daily basis and my son doesn't really mind the difference between the nipples (that is mine and the bottle's). We never had any issues with leakage or colic so no complaints there.

The Avent line is garbage!I just threw the bottle in the garbage. It's leaking like a waterfall after 1 month of use! The cap is so hard to open one hand. The whole design is so flawed and user unfriendly! Who ever designed these bottle never had a baby. I really do not recomment any of the Avent products. Even my bigger sized bottle is starting to leak after a week of use!

Design issues..The design of this bottle is very poor, I have bought 2 of them now thinking maybe there was a defect in the 1st one. However, the nipple constantly leaks and does not seal correctly. It's more of a hassle than not. I love Avent bottles but this design is definitely a down fall.

Not for Spit UpThis product was great but it's not for spit up. My son kept spit up after feeding. I tried to change the nipple level and still spit up. My older daughter had no issues with this product. But my son isn't. This product is great for babies who not have any issues.

Poor design leads to leaksThe caps on the bottles will not tighten, they skip, and then leak. Extraordinarily frustrating for bottles as expensive as these. I will not purchase another product.

Good, but Nipple issues!!! :(I'm a mother of two, && with our first son we used Avent bottles. That was in 2008 the classic bottles, we loved them so much. So when we had our second son I automatically knew I wanted to use Avent again. So I saw they had a new look && style for breastfeeding. So leaned towards getting Avent natural! At first it worked well seeming how I was getting to know the bottle better. As I used it I noticed my baby well take forever to drink & also the nipple would flatten then collapse. Then I realized that the vent needs to be aligned with the indentation on the ring, once I did that the collapsing stopped & my baby would finish his milk quicker. But, the problem that I'm having is that once the bottles are squeaky clean & nipple is placed correctly on the ring the nipple tends to move out of place when screwing it on the bottle. It is time consuming && annoying when your trying to move quickly to feed your hungry baby but have to keep readjusting the nipple to stay in place!
Avent needs to find a way to keep the nipple tightly in place. Other then that the bottle is great.

This is it!!I am a mom of five. I have tried every bottle available. These bottles are amazing!
My babies go between bottles and nursing. I've had the most success with these Natural Bottles.
I pump into these bottles. Pumping is quite a chore and it would upset me to see my milk spilling out when my baby used other bottles. My baby always had milk dribble down his chin and out the sides of his mouth. But not with these bottles! His lips create a perfect suction on the base of the nipple so that none of my milk escapes.
I also love the petals inside the two-layered nipple. They mimic the feel of the breast. Also, the nipple is very flexible.
I saw some people comment about nipple collapse. If this happens, a faster flow of nipple should be used. There is a vacuum system that allows air flow, but if the baby is drinking to fast, there us no time for it to work. Upping the nipple size is a quick fix. There are more holes in the faster flow that allow more milk to flow out. This means the baby doesn't need to suck as hard to get milk, allowing the nipple to work properly.
The nipple double seals in the collar which makes it very secure.
I wish these bottles were available when my first was born.
I own 3 nine ounce, and 3 nine ounce with the cute elephant design. I want to get the cute monkey ones next!
