Philips AVENT Insulated Straw Cups SCF766/00 9oz 12m+ Straw
LOVE THESE SIPPY CUPS!!!
I don't normally write reviews for products, but thought I'd take the time because I like these cups that much.
I have tried numerous brands of sippy cups that all claim to be "spill-proof" only to find that they in actuality leak like a sieve. The only times I've had one of these cups leak is when the sun was shining on one of them and I think the heat made pressure build up in the cup, and the second time was because I didn't snug the straw up.
These cups work fantastically for my 21 month old. He has been using them for a few months now and I still love them.
The lids can be a bit tricky to figure out at first, but once you've got it I think it goes smoothly.
I am in the process of throwing away all other sippys and only having these cups.

Tricky cover to remover but it doesn't leak
I completely empathize with the parents who gave "big thumbs down" on taking the cover off for refilling/cleaning. But for me after a few struggles/tinkering I figured out how to depress the rotating cover to "pop" it off, hence can easily screw off the 2nd component of the cover. The insulation keeps milk cold longer and it Does NOT LEAK - a big plus for my family. I also like that it's lighter in weight...comparing it to our Foogos Straw stainless steel Thermos. My 2.5 yr old son gets a kick out of the rotation feature.

Really bad product
I have always been a big fan of Avent. Purchased these 2 months ago and I wish I had never done that.
First, the two part lid design is extremely complex to detach for cleaning. For those who cannot understand the mechanism- it is next to impossible.
Second, the lid tread does not align with the bottle most times- causing spills. If misaligned and tightened (even slightly), it is next to impossible to get it open.
Third. Opening the bottle itself is a big challenge. The side compression tabs (arrows) are meant to be toddler proof- not parent Proof.
Strained my hand several times trying to open the lid.
Fourth, The silicone straw needs to have a better tear strength. My 2 year old nibbled and chewed them off quite easily. Both bottles useless now.

I loved Avent until I came acrossed this product. I bought this cup for the sole purpose of it's brand. The cup is difficult to open because the straw cover rotates as you are trying to open it. The silicone straw is also very easy to push inside the cup, which has caused a great deal of messes in my back seat. I will now read reviews more often and buy for the product quality not the name!!

The best cups out there
The best cups available. We have insulated and regular ones. They dont leak when traveling or when dropped. There is some wicking action through the straw but that is because there is no vent hole to equalize pressure or it would leak a few taps gets the liquid out of the straw or a couple of shakes on the rim when refilling cures that issue. The key to taking the top off, is to have the cup in the open position and there is a thumb indent to allow you to unscrew the top. Not many parts. Really a great product.

I bought 2 of these and have had big issues with them. For one the staw piece gets pushed into the cup making it a big leak issue. It is also very hard to open at times due to the rotating cover on the top. I have not been impressed for the money i just waisted due to the fact i threw them away.

HARD TO OPEN!!
My daughter loves this product but it is SO HARD to take the lid off - so frustrating. I am considering taking it back to the store and getting a different brand of straw drink container.
