My daughter's drink runs down her mouth and neck. The concept is great just didn't work for me. Avent should redesign this cup to work better.

Baby gets a chance to have a much more realistic experience as they move to an actual "adult" drinking glass by using this transitional cup. So many of the other "sippy cup" designs are nothing more than colorful bottle replacements that the child must actively suck on to get a drink. Doesn't really teach them much. Can your little person still experience, yes and cause, some dribble spills while learning new skills by using this cup? Yes, initially, but just like a real drinking glass with a touch of experience, they quickly get it right. As long as they don't accidentally press the lid plunger, spills are genuinely minimal. So, if you stick to water and coach them a little, how bad can it be? As far as taking it apart and putting it back together, pretty basic stuff. Even if you don't pay attention to detail, with some adult experimentation and patience, even someone from Harvard should be able to puzzle it out. Enjoy the cup!

Thought this was going to be spill proof as stated but leaks all over the place. May as well gave him an actual cup to drink out of. Loved using Avent bottles but this sippy cup is of no comparable value to their bottles.

My 2 year old got into the sippy cup drawer and wanted this cup. Oh boy. We can't figure it out. Once I watched a video on assembling it, but I don't know where I ever found it. I tried using the assembly illustration here (that's why I'm on this site right now), and it just doesn't go back together the way I remember it going originally. It was relatively spill proof, but now I've got it assembled as illustrated, and it's definitely not going to be spill proof. We are potty training right now, so having his beverage on the floor is not the worst thing I'll ever encounter today.
That said I am disappointed. I loved this cup the first few times we used it. It went through the dishwasher assembled and it wasn't until I realized that people weren't disassembling to wash it that I learned it is near impossible for my husband and I to assemble.
Thanks if you can point me in the directions of a tutorial that will allow us to use this cup.

Leaks everywhere. My daughter loves this cup but more ends up on the floor than in her mouth.

I did not find this cup easy to assemble. I took it apart 4-5 times before I ever put milk in it. When I finally put in milk and thought everything was good, I realized that I needed to work a bit harder. I did get it to the point of being leakproof — until my 16 month old figured out that she can get it to spill milk all over the table if she lays it on its side and presses the top.
I imagine that it will be great at about two, but twelve months is too young of a recommendation in my opinion. We have to watch her like a hawk when she uses this cup.

Is most definitely NOT spill proof, my daughter carries it around the house and spells her liquid everywhere!! She hates it, I hate it, I wish my husband would have never bought it. So, thank you for your broken promises of a spill proof cup that helps them learn how to use a regular cup. You have severely ruined my day and my daughters day.
