I bought the Phillips Micro-Hi Fi System recommended by sales staff as "best sound for the money". Unfortunately this is not the case!
The sound on this system is so distorted through vibration it is not worth playing music on. When I returned it to the retailer they told me I could have a replacement but not my money back. The replacement is the same - loud vibration messing up sound. A waste of money.

Great product - if only Philips still made it
With a substantial CD collection as well as some digitized music on my iphone, I had been looking for a single system that played a good range of music, with crisp, clear sound. Finding this was a great surprise. Unfortunately, during the shipping, the laser was damaged so it was never able to play CDs, but only from the iphone/ipod doc. The sound was great, it was wall-mountable (though I had it on a bookcase shelf) & the handy remote control was nice. Upon contacting Philips regarding the broken laser, they were quick to offer a replacement. Alas, the next day - they informed me that this is no longer manufactured - so my search continues. It was great sound while it lasted, though.

Great sound but some problems with playing cd's
I like the sound from this unit but having a lot of problems where the laser disc isn't reading a lot of my discs. IPod plays fine and good sound but not happy with the fact that it won't read my discs. Unfortunately I can't find my receipt so I guess I'm stuck with this unit. Lessoned learned...keep track of store receipts.

Good product, except two things
I really like the way it looks and sounds.
The first thing that I did not like was that the cord was very small.
The second was the CD Player door opens whenever I have the volume pass 18. I guess it vibrates so much that the door opens by itself.
Besides that, I would still recommend it.
