Good design, but poor volume
This is our second unit as the first had a battery issue. We have found even on the highest volume we can barely hear our son when he cries. The blue lights seem to be more sensitive than the volume control. We have had other products and volume was at least 2x as loud. This matters a lot in the middle of the night. On the plus side, there is absolutely no interference, so always a clear signal

Nice monitor
We have the previous orange and white model of the Philips monitors in addition to this one. The new version has more features and MUCH longer battery life. We are very happy that we can still control the volume AND sensitivity. The parent unit on the new model links up to the baby unit much faster than the previous model. And the range is still fantastic - we can go outside, to the street or down to the basement without ever losing the connection. No interference with anything: cell phones, equipment at the nursing home across the street, etc. (except the parent units from this model and the previous model interfere with each other when they are both on the same nightstand).
The downside is that sensitivity, which used to be controlled by separate buttons is now set through the on-screen menu, which we've found tricky to use. Often the settings we try to change aren't saved. It's user error, but the process should be easy enough that we shouldn't keep making user errors.
This model has extra features that we paid extra for, like temperature, music and lights. Unfortunately, the music and lights can only be activated from the baby unit, so we never use them. It would be MUCH nicer to be able to turn those on and off from the parent unit.
The lights on this model are much brighter (too bright in the middle of the night). The beep on the parent unit is much louder.
Philips customer service is fantastic. I would buy a Phillips monitor again, but perhaps the model without the features that can't be controlled from the parent unit.

Nice features but volume to low
We have had this product for just over a month. Very simple to setup, and operate. Music feature is nice as well as the temperature monitor in the room. Range seems excellent and there has been zero interference that we can detect.
Volume is another story. It is very low when full maximum. i can hear our daughter through her door louder than over the monitor transmitter sitting in the corner of the crib. the lights on the wireless hand held unit are what we have defaulted to using during the day. ambient outdoor noises overpower the volume easily so it is not very useful unless pressed up against your ear at full max volume. Fix the volume issue and it would be a great unit.

Love this monitor!!
We have been using this monitor for almost 2 years with out first child and we have recently had our second and will continue to use it with her. I love that you can see the temperature and adjust the volume control. It has so many features! The only down fall we have had is that I don`t find that the battery lastes very long off the charger. Maybe we just need a new battey! Over all I love this monitor!!

Excellent product, just need more volume control
As a new mom, I LOVE this monitor. The one I registered for had so much horrible feedback from other electronics (we live in a condo), that I needed something that wouldn't start squealing in the middle of the night. I was interested in a video monitor, but then I read how people can drive by and pick up the video images--SCARY. This monitor is perfect. I can check the temp in my daughter's room and make sure she's comfortable without getting out of bed. My one complaint: the volume settings. It's so low, especially compared to the first monitor, it took a while to get used to the low volume. Adjusting the sensitivity helps a little, but ultimately I'd like to see more volume adjustment on a future model. Would definitely recommend.

Good monitor. Without Feedback it would be great
This is a great monitor with one flaw...tons of interference. Constantly woken up to the humming of interference that just won't stop until the unit is powered off.
Unfortunately, a lot of time we have to go without a monitor to avoid the noise.
