USB file formats
This bluray works well. It has a very clean design and I like the simple touch interface on the from of the unit. My only major criticism is that you see the USB input onthe front of the unit in the store and assume that it is like most other bluray players in that you will be able to transfer a movie from your computer to a flash drive for the purposes of watchin in on your TV through the player.
However, this particular model only supports .mp3, .wma, .jpg formats. (mosic and still pictures). The unit is not programmed with the ability to read .avi, or .mov, or any other video format for that matter. Therefore, you will probably almost never use the USB port on the machine. It's a video player... that won't play videos (at least from the USB input, anyway).
For that reason I rated it average for performance. Otherwise, it is a nice bluray unit.

Not your best product
The wireless connection gets dropped frequently, there's not much content available in Canada, no Youtube support, no Simplyshare support, no android remote control app support.

Reliable and easy to use
I had a Samsung 3D-DVD player that looked great with brushed aluminum finish. But when I used it, it sometimes sent an HDMI signal to my receiver and sometimes did not. I was blaming the receiver for a long time, but on a long shot I purchased the Phillips and tried it, and my problems went away. I do not use all of the extra functions that are built in, so I cannot speak for them, but as a reliable DVD player for 3-D and Blu-Ray with a good quality output, this device does the job for me.

Optical
This Blu-Ray player does not have an optical input, all players without an optical input are useless to me because of my surround sound. That's why I give it a poor design. I have already given it away. Sorry phillips, you lost out to Samsung's Smart Blu-Ray player. I don't give second chances.
If you aren't in to the surround sound thing :
1. you aren't getting the most out of your player.
2. you wasted your money on a blu-ray, if you bought it yourself.
