Great customer service, poor design 'improvement' over previous version.
This is our second espresso machine. The first was also made by Saeco, but under the Starbucks Barista name.
First let me say that there was a part malfunction (the brew switch) which Philips took care of very quickly and professionally. Kudos to the Customer Service department.
My primary complaint is that unlike the Starbucks verison of this machine, the steam wand is not angled; it is impossible to get a coffee cup under the wand without either tilting the machine backwards or sliding it over to the side of the sink. We drink primarily Americanos; our Barista machine could be in a convenient place on the counter and we could brew away. This machine has to be slid to the sink.
We just got the repaired machine back yesterday. I anticipate that the espresso will be great.

durable/ easy to use / just as good as the expensive models
great espresso machine. better than many of the more expensive and complicated brands
