As most SAECO products, the main board failed
Hello all!
I don't know why, but the 2 saeco products I've had so far, both have failed the same: main board malfunction. So it's time to move on to another (more trustable) brand.
It is not nice for a customer to pay the s&h for an item that is under guarantee.
My odea plus II with capuccinatore failed after 7 months and less than 250 coffees. When started to fail, water pump was like not receiving enough power to work. Then failed completely.
The external design is beautiful (by BMW), the brewing system is impressive and easy to clean. But the electronics completely not up to the level.

Saeco Jiro Plus is GREAT !
I purchased this machine after changing 2 Delonghi machines. This machine is my Cadillac :) - easy to use; frother is amazing and the pressure is steady for tasty espresso and coffee mouse.

Way more cheaper than starbucks !!
After having this superautomatic espresso machine, I'm happy with my purchase. Even when this is my first automatic (before I was using a Krups semiautomatic and a stoveTop bialetti), I've been in contact with a Jura impressa X90 that we use at the office. This saeco does the same work as the jura, but a little bit better because of the ceramic grinder.
This espresso machine comes with the cappuccinatore adapter, which you dont need if u use the panarello properly. But if u use it, you will be amazed, because the milk comes out from the frother with a sily texture, long lasting microfoam.
Optidose system is great! from 7 to 10.5 grams of coffee, and from 1 to 8oz of water, you have a lot of combinations available.
There are 2 details I'd love to have in this model: a bypass for already ground coffee, and a bigger water tank.
Something I see as a design flaw, is that there are some vent stripes below the power button. Sometimes you get steam on those stripes and get into the power button. I do not know if there's a guard for avoiding steam damage on the switch...but according to an exploit I found on the web for a prior model, there is none. I hope that for this version, they have changed it. But so far, everything is working fine.
