I bought this machine early this month. It arrived dead, did not work. I called Saeco customer service. We did troubleshoot but nothing worked. I returned it and Saeco sent a replacement. When the replacement arrived, the function knob cover was missing, even tha packaging was loose, you could hear noice of loose items inside the box. It looks like, they sent me a unit that was returned by somebody else. You would think that after they sent us a dead one, they would be a bit consider it to make sure the second one is in perfect condition.

Worked for two days
This is the second Saeco I owned. This one lasted two days, the other one broke down a bit after the warranty expired.
Although the machine made amazing coffee in the two days I owned it, the light to empty the grounds drawer came on the second day. I called Philips. They told me to turn the machine off, clean the drawer and let it dry, put it back in, then turn the machine back on. I did that and many more things that might help, but the light never camee off anymore.
After two Saeco machines breaking down on me, no more Saeco for me.

Ok machine. Easy to use. Always have to empty the water pan often.(if not may cause water spillage on your counter).

This machine makes great espresso, but is very finicky. Sometimes, without warning during the process of making coffee, it dumps the grounds and does not make a cup o coffee. I clean the workings of the machine with warm water every day. It works perfectly 90 % of the time and makes super espresso. Also had to ship to NJ to have the power unit replaced after 6 months (covered by warranty), but had to pay shipping one way. I love it when it works
