mic is poor
mic handles plosives very poorly and the sound is quite tinny.

I HAVE ONE TO USE FOR DICTATION, IN THE MIDDLE OF A MEETING IT WENT DEAD AND WILL NOT WORK. i ASSUME THE BATTERIES ARE DEAD. tHE BATTERIES THAT ARE SUPPOSE TO BE ABLE TO BE CHARGED OVER 1000 TIMES, I HAVE MAYBE CHARGED THEM 20 TIMES. I CAN'T SEEM TO FIND REPLACEMENTS AND AM NOT SURE IF ANY OTHER BATTERY WILL WORK. I'M NOT REAL HAPPY WITH THE PRODUCT.

This recorder works great, as long as you don't mind randomly losing recordings
I don't recommend using this recorder because it frequently loses recordings. I've been doing interviews with it for my senior project, and so far it has lost three of the ten interviews that I've done. The files end up being corrupted and unplayable. Unfortunately, you can't get people to redo hour long in-depth interviews, so I've been really frustrated with its performance. Otherwise, I think it's pretty easy to use and the sound quality is excellent, so if you don't mind your recordings being lost about 20-30% of the time, it might be the recorder for you!

Records well, difficult to maneuver
This could've be a nice tool for, say, a writer who does interviews -- as long as he doesn't care if he ever finds the file again. And don't bother looking to the manual. The explanations aren't there.

Does the Job
The device works well, and does as advertised, but it is ridiculously difficult to delete files, and the quick start guide that comes with it is completely worthless. A simple device should be simple to use.
