This product is shoddy, unlike Elite models.
In replacing my Elite model, I mistakenly thought this Essence HX5610/01 was the same toothbrush. The Elite gave 7 years of excellent service. I didn't need the Essence right away, so by the time I began using it and discovered all its warts, the warranty was no longer valid. There is no 30-second timer. Water collects in the container beneath the brush head and if not unscrewed and emptied, leaks on you and your clothing. If you need an electric toothbrush, this is not the one.

This model does not have the 30 sec feature
We had our previous Sonicare for over 15 years and liked it very much. When that one finally died we bought another Essence and assumed it had what is called the "Quadrapacer 30 sec interval timer. We purchased the new one from CVS Pharmacy. We are very displeased that we did not know the model we purchased did not have the feature we were so pleased with and accustomed to. Poor, poor, poor. We will contact Philips Sonicare directly!

Like this product due to the timer
I like this product because it turns off when two minutes are up so you brush your teeth for the same amount of time each day. I have not had any cavaties since using this product. It is well worth the price to stay out of the dentist office and keep healthy teeth and gums. The travel case lets you take your tooth brush where ever you go.

Philips Sonicare Toothbrushes are the Best
I have used Philips sonic toothbrushes for several years satisfactorily. I find the model I am currently using to be rather clumsy and awkward. I alternate my brushes--1 in the AM and 1 in the PM. However, the brushes needed replacement after very little usage. I will look at different toothbrush models in the near future.

My dental checkup showed improved gum/teeth health. Says it all for me!
I'm glad I switched to Sonicare, I like how my teeth feel after cleaning.
