These lasted FOREVER
We had a ceiling fan that would blow an incandescent bulb every week or two. I replaced the four bulbs with these Halogena 40W beauties, and we had light we could dim for at least 4 years. These things were on almost all the time, and they were nice and bright, but still the warm yellow light we're accustomed to.
It looks like I can't find these in the stores anymore, which makes me seriously sad. If you find them, stock up!

The best bulbs ever made
These have a beautiful white light that is pleasant in any room. They are the closest to daylight that I've found, providing an even spectrum unlike florescent and LED bulbs. They are also durable and long lasting.
I just wish they weren't so hard to find in Canada.
