I originally had bought them to use as a replacement for my Philips 42in flat screen after my dogs ate the original that came with the television. The package stated that the remote worked with 99% of all televisions, and i figured since my tv is a philips the remote must be compatible. Unfortunately it did not work. However I was still able to use the remotes for pretty much every other audio/video device so it wasn't a complete loss.
