Works with current brands...don't believe it
Look, this device looks nice, and the button setup is reasonable. I love the idea of being able to add extra functions. But the one device that has the MOST buttons, my Scientific Atlanta Explorer 3200HD cable box, is not built in. I followed the directions for Scientific Atlanta and the box never went off. I tried the 9999 treatment...nope. My TV, DVD, and amplifier were fine, but not the cable box. I can program each individual button...that works. But what pain! And tech support was not even slightly helpful after I finally got through to them. Apparently they have no list of which devices it really does and does not support. And of course a boo to Scientific Atlanta who apparently does not use the same code for every device. How hard could it be??
