Great
Only just installed, but thrilled with the light and immediacy vs CFL. Replaced a 45W equivalent so a liitle too bright in comparison. Hoping for a 45W equivalent from Philips on the market soon.

Great Lights for Kitchen and Family Room
Just replaced my lights in Kitchen with these.
Hooked up 6 on a dimmer switch from lutron.
Seamless transition. I will say that I bought aLED replacement 1 yr ago to put over my sink to test out the dimmability. This was too "bright white" @ 3000K. These new bulbs are 2700K and fit the bill perfectly. Not too blaring white, just right.
Phillips continues to lead their peers in creating flawless products. Keep up the great work! Got mine from bulbs.com, great pricing and knowledge

2 of the 10 purchased blink
20% failure rate on these bulbs. One circuit using 2 bulbs, another using 8, no dimmer switch installed. 2 of the bulbs blink regardless or where tebet are installed.
Looks like typical poor manufacturing.

Good product, but....
These lamps put out a beautiful light, not the harsh white I am used to from LEDs. However, they are considerably longer than the floods they are designed to replace. This bulb actually extends from the cans in my kitchen ceiling and you can see the bulb. In all the other cans, the bulb is hidden or at least flush with the ceiling. This one protrudes out.
The light is very "normal" and my wife actually prefers this lamp to the others we have. I only bought one because I wanted to try it out first. Looks like they pass the wife test! I just wish they were shorter by at least 1/2 inch and preferably a full inch at least.
I am returning this lamp for the 50 watt version. I upped the lumens from the 50 watts I currently to this 65 Watt replacement thinking they would not be as bright. Wrong! They are very evenly matched to standard bulbs.

NIce product
I will say this a great lamp, nice color, and looks almost like a comparable 65 watt flood that is comparable too.I highly recommend this product..That being said, dimming can be a bit of a problem with certain dimmers..I use Lutron and most of these dimmers that are actually for cfl/LED do not properly dim these, make sure your dimmer will dim these if that is what you will be doing with these..otherwise..great product.

Good lighting, but NOT "Instant On"!
I bought this because the package says "Instant-on light." I have another brand LED floodlight which takes about half a second to turn on, and my wife won't let me put another one of those in the kitchen! (I don't like it either, but we use it.) So, when I saw "instant on" on the package, I figured "Great," I can put these in. I bought only one, though - being a bit suspicious. Good thing: it is "quicker on" than the other brand, but by no means would I call it instant on - it takes a tenth or two of a second to turn on, and the delay is quite noticable. I don't understand why the delay (I am pretty good at electronics - PhD in astronomy). I have several "regular" LED bulbs (i.e. they look pretty much like a regular incandescent bulb), of various brands, and they DO turn on instantly. Until they fix this, I will not buy anymore.

Simply the best
I've replaced 14 65W halogen bulbs with these 13W AmbientLED. Not only do you save in energy to run the light bulb, which is obvious, but you save on Air Conditining since a halogen bulb heats up to 196F. It is roughly 12 square inches of radient heat per bulb producing heat at 196F. That is a lot of heat for the Air Conditioner to cool. So you not only save in energy to create light, but additional savings in Air Conditioning. The lights are dimable and "almost" instant on. There is a very slight delay when they come on. I tried several Brand X bulbs before settling on the Philips. I took them all back. They all had a uncomfortable bluie or grey tint to the light, which was horrible for our purposes. These lights put out a white light, close to the halogen bulbs. An added bonus is they have a diffuser lense covering the LED's so you can't see the intensly bright LED's, but their light is difused over an even area. Way to go Philips. A second benefit is Philips is a trusted name and these bulbs are expensive and I am not sure of the quality of some no name manufacture.

Great light better than the equivalent 65 watt light incandesent
I have looked around for many years for a 65 watt replacement light that saved energy. I like the 3,000k light output much better than the 2,700k light output of other lights. I currently own 24 for these lights. The key for me is the light color and the instant on vs. the CFL light which take minutes to get to full brightness.
