Needs design work
The device has performed as advertised but is in need of a re-design of the trimmer. The current design is especially difficult to use. Also I would prefer a closer shave than what the device performs.

great product
i love everything about it.
only thing i don't like is the side burn trimmer is pretty cheap and doesn't always cut my side burn hairs very well. i have to move the razor side to side to cut better.

Excellent product.
Provides the best electric shave I've ever had. Easy and quick to get a full charge and once charged, lasts longer than other Norelco shavers I've had. The only drawback is the sideburns trimmer is too small and inconvenient to use.

this product has good features but fails on a close shave.
I have used Norelco electric razors for years. I have found this model to be overrated for a close, comfortable shave. I will continue to use Norelco razors, but will look for a different model. You feel like you got that close comfortable shave, but I find stubble some 6 hours later.

After 43 years of using blades, this one has converted me
Having gone through various blade razors over the years, occasionally I would get tired of razor cuts and try an electric, which always ended up making my skin feel like it had been through a belt-sander. I had given up on electrics, but before this Christmas, on a whim when I saw it in the store, I bought myself a Norelco 1250XCC with the Jet Clean system because I noted that you could use this razor wet, with foam.
I will NEVER go back to a blade again as long as this razor performs the way it does. My skin is smoother than it ever was with a blade, there is no irritation, it's fast, and I find myself wishing I could shave more than once a day with this product. Up to now shaving was a necessary and somewhat annoying (and occasionally hazardous) chore. Philips can use my name, my recommendation, whatever they like to sell this product. I will never use another razor, unless they update it to make it better, although I have no idea how they COULD make it better. At whatever price, the 1250XCC Senso-Touch 3D razor is a winner.

Norelco electrics in general
I have been using Norelco electric razors, almost exclusively, for the better part of 40 years, and they are the best electric razors for men. I now have a Norelco 1255X, along with 3 older models, and I can find no real difference between this new, expensive Norelco and their older, less expensive razors. Same number of strokes to accomplish the same thing, and same after-shaving irritation. One noticeable difference is that the 1255X is a lot noisier than the older Norelcos- ESPECIALLY the trimmer. Do not know why. The old ones last forever, so I am hoping that this will be the last Norelco I have to buy.
