Product has poor functionality
I bought this for my twin grandsons (2yrs old) for Christmas last year. According to my daughter it has never worked right (very sporadic). Imagine driving to Boston from Providence with twins and have the DVD player constantly malfunctioning. It was a very bad experience and by the time we got there we were all in tears.. and not looking forward to the drive home.

WARNING DO NOT BUY!!
We have used this about 10 times and it no longer will play a dvd, all it does it make this horrible banging sound like it trying to play the dvd, but it just stopped working. I tried cleaning it, tried different dvd's and nothing has worked. If you have a toddler in the car on a long road trip you know how annoying this can be! It's also hard to navigate while from the front seat. The buttons are too small, but that's just another complaint I have about this product, and it probably wouldn't have been a big deal if it would work and I wasn't always having to do things from the front seat. It took us a long time to break down and buy one and this was NOT cheap! I would have hoped for the high price we would have at least used it more than 10 times:(

On my 4th unit in 13 months
It is a good player while it works. It is not very durable, however, since I am now on my 4th one in 13 months.

I THINK THAT THIS PAIR OF LCDS ARE GREAT!
THEY ARE EASY TO USE, AND NEVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH THEM...HAVE THEM FOR LIKE ABOUT 2 YEARS ALREADY AND STILL WORKING! JUST NEED TO BECAREFUL, IF THE KIDS HIT THEM, OBVIOUSLY NO ELECTRONIC CAN HANDLE HITS! JUST, MAKE SURE, IF THEY ARE NOT IN USE, YOU TURN THEM OFF! THEY WILL OVER HEAT THE SCREENS, LIKE ANYTHING ELSE! BUT WITH GOOD CARE, THEY CAN LAST YEARS,!

Started out good for first 2 months, then 2nd screen died
I finally called Phillips and they are sending me a new AV cord which will supposedly make the second screen work again. The cord was on back order for like a month, but just yesterday I got a notice that it was shipped and I should have it in a couple days. It sounds like this has been a major problem on these units ... so I am hopeful this new AV cord fixes the problem which was covered under the warranty.
This product is great when it worked.
I want to stay committed to Philips but this product experience has hurt their reputation in my eyes.

Good
The quality and design is good and easy to use.
The connector wires are not that much strong, the only thing that I am not satisfied with.

I've had 2 different sets of portable tvs and this one is easier to use and more convenient to set up in the car.
I'm completely satisfied with this product and would recremmend it to others. My brother in law and sister in law both have this product and enjoy it as well.

Not the best portable DVD player
The DVD player is very sleek and good looking. I don't like the menu settings. I also don't like that if you take the disc out to reset it and put the same disc back in, it goes to the last played part on the DVD. I also don't like that it doesn't have a remote.
