WARNING DO NOT BUY!!
We have used this about 10 times and it no longer will play a dvd, all it does it make this horrible banging sound like it trying to play the dvd, but it just stopped working. I tried cleaning it, tried different dvd's and nothing has worked. If you have a toddler in the car on a long road trip you know how annoying this can be! It's also hard to navigate while from the front seat. The buttons are too small, but that's just another complaint I have about this product, and it probably wouldn't have been a big deal if it would work and I wasn't always having to do things from the front seat. It took us a long time to break down and buy one and this was NOT cheap! I would have hoped for the high price we would have at least used it more than 10 times:(

On my 4th unit in 13 months
It is a good player while it works. It is not very durable, however, since I am now on my 4th one in 13 months.

Product has poor functionality
I bought this for my twin grandsons (2yrs old) for Christmas last year. According to my daughter it has never worked right (very sporadic). Imagine driving to Boston from Providence with twins and have the DVD player constantly malfunctioning. It was a very bad experience and by the time we got there we were all in tears.. and not looking forward to the drive home.

I was on vacation with my my 2 year old grandson and the dvd player stoped working.Three hours of my grandson screaming "Nan-Nan play Mickey Mouse. My vacation trip was not fun. I don't know wht happen. New DVD of Mickey Mouse not workink.......

Very easy to set up.
We are on our 4th try with this Portable DVD Player, we have had a different problem with each one Phillips has been nice enough to send us new ones, but they never work waste of money.

Average DVD Player
I have this dvd for my children, the nice feature is that you can hang it on the back of the seat using the straps, however the quality of the picture and quality is on the low side. I replaced mine under warranty as the cable broke inside the player. I am comparing quality of picture to another portable DVD player that I had and there is a noticeable difference, the quality picture here is not as good.
For the price, and convenience that you can strap to the car seat, it is OK

This product didn't even last a year without burning out.
I purchased these dvd players almost a year ago. They only worked for 9 months. I did call to report this, and was told that they would be exchanged for me as they are still under warranty. It does bother me though that they lasted only such a short time, so I will be reluctant to buy Phillips products in the future or to recommend them to others. I now worry about the quality of all Phillips products, and that if I buy another product that it too will not last.

Good product, lifespan too short, replacement easy
These portable DVD players are a must for my two kids. They make car time much more pleasant. The dual screens allow both kids to watch at the same time as well. The only issue I have had is they don't last very long. My first set went out after 11 months. Luckily within the warranty. got a quick replacement from Philips but that one broke as well within the new 90 day warranty. I'm now on the 3rd set and so far so good but it's only been a month. I hope third time's the charm. I love everything else about this player.
