Philips Coronary App Privacy Notice

This Privacy Notice was last changed on the 24 of August 2018.

You are encouraged to read the Philips Global Privacy Notice, which applies to the personal data of individuals that is collected or used by Koninklijke Philips N.V. or its affiliates or subsidiaries (Philips).

 

This Privacy Notice applies to personal data collected and/or processed by the IGT Devices application (“App”). This is a notice of our Privacy practices, this is not a contract or agreement.

 

What Personal Data are collected and for which Purposes

 

IGT Devices App provides education to clinicians on how to use Philips coronary devices products. We do not collect your personal data for account creation or other purposes other than described below. 

 

The App makes use of analytics technology to identify which links and content provided within the App are of interest to you, to track your usage of the App and to improve your App experience. We also make use of this data to ensure that the App functions properly. 

We use cookies, tags or similar technologies to operate, provide, improve, understand, and customize our services. Cookies, or similar technologies, collect information about the surfing behavior of visitors, how often content is visited and sections of the App not used or most abandoned. This data provides information to make the structure, navigation and content of the App as user-friendly as possible.  Examples include:

a. to track of the number of visitors to content areas, or features of the App

b. to track of the length of time that each visitor spends on certain content, or features

c. funnel reporting – the order in which a visitor travels across the Portal experience

d. portal improvement and/or optimization – such as abandonments or even errors

 

IGT Devices App push notifications

 

Information from your mobile device is used for the purpose of sending push notifications from the IGT Devices App. A universally unique identifier (UUID) is a 128-bit number that identifies unique Internet objects or data. A UUID is generated by an algorithm with values that are based on a machine's network card MAC address combined with a unique value created when the App is installed.  It is considered as pseudonymized personal information as one cannot connect this number to an identifiable person. You may opt out from receiving push notifications by going to your device ‘Settings’ and clicking on ‘Notifications’ and then changing the settings for the App on your device.

 

With whom are Personal Data shared?

 

Philips may disclose your personal data to Philips Affiliates, third party service providers, business partners, or other third parties in accordance with this Privacy Notice and/or applicable law.

 

Philips Affiliates & business partners

Philips may transfer certain personal data across geographical borders to other Philips Affiliates or outside companies working with us or on our behalf. Philips may also store personal data in a jurisdiction other than where you are located. Transfer of personal data by Philips takes place in accordance with applicable data protection legislation. In addition, all our rights and obligations under this Privacy Notice are freely assignable by Philips to any of its Affiliates.

 

In addition, Philips may transfer certain personal data outside of the EEA to outside companies working with us or on our behalf for the purposes described in this Privacy Notice. Philips may also store personal data outside of the EEA. If we do this your personal data will continue to be protected by means of contracts we have in place with those organizations outside the EEA, which are in a form approved by the European Commission. When you provide your personal data in this App, you consent to this transfer and/or storage of their personal data across borders.

 

Service Providers

We work with third-party service providers to help us operate, provide, improve, understand, customize, support, and market our services.

 

We may share your personal data with the following service providers:

- Eloqua

- Google Firebase

- Adobe Analytics

 

Philips requires its service providers and business partners to provide an adequate level of protection to your personal data similar to the level that we provide. We require our service and business partners providers to process your personal data only in accordance with our instructions and only for the specific purposes mentioned above, to have access to the minimum amount of data they need to deliver a specific service, and to protect the security of your personal data.

 

Other third parties

Philips may also work with third parties who process your personal data for their own purposes. Please read their privacy notices carefully as they inform about their privacy practices, including, what type of personal data they collect, how they use, process and protect them.

 

If Philips shares personal data with a third party that uses your personal data for their own purposes, Philips will ensure to inform you and/or obtain your consent in accordance with applicable laws before we share your personal data.

 

Philips sometimes sells a business. Such a transfer of ownership could include the transfer of your personal data to the purchasing company. We may transfer your personal data to a new owner and transfer our rights and obligations under this Privacy Notice to the new owner.

 

How long do we keep your data?

We will retain your personal data for as long as needed or permitted in light of the purpose(s) for which the data is collected. The criteria we use to determine our retention periods include: (i) the length of time you use the App; (ii) whether there is a legal obligation to which we are subject; or (iii) whether retention is advisable in light of our legal position (such as in regard to applicable statutes of limitations, litigation or regulatory investigations).

 

Choices and rights

Please refer to the chapter ‘Your rights and choices available to you’ in the Philips Global Privacy Notice. if you would like to submit a request to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to the processing of Personal Data that you have previously provided to us, or if you would like to submit a request to receive an electronic copy of your Personal Data for purposes of transmitting it to another company (to the extent this right to data portability is provided to you by applicable law).

 

Changes to this Privacy Notice

The services that Philips provides may change from time to time without prior notice to you. For this reason, we reserve the right to change or add to this Privacy Notice from time to time.  

 

We encourage you to check back often to review the latest version. The new Privacy Notice will be effective upon posting, if you do not agree with the revised notice, you can cancel your account. By continuing to access or make us of our services after those changes become effective, you acknowledge you have been informed with the revised Privacy Notice.
