The heart rate mode is always on, this means that your heart rate will be measured continuously.  It will take at least 24 hours of wearing the health watch to get your first resting heart rate measurement.

Note that it can occur that heart rate is not displayed when the heart rate signal measured from the wrist is of insufficient quality. This may happen  in certain situations. In this case see the troubleshooting section of the instructions for use.
