I got skin irritation after using my Philips ladyshave
If you are worried about skin irritation caused by your Philips lady shaver, please do not worry. Sometimes this can occur in sensitive body parts and can be avoided by following our simple tips below.
Skin is dirty or oily
Using your Philips ladyshave on dirty or oily skin may cause irritation.
Please make sure your skin is clean, entirely dry and free from grease before using your Philips ladyshaver.
Using the ladyshaver incorrectly
It is important to use the ladyshave correctly in order to avoid any side-effects.
Make sure that you move the ladyshave in the right direction (against the direction of hair growth) and that you hold it at the right angle (70-degree angle to your skin).
The shaving head or trimmer head should be in full contact with the skin. Do not press the appliance too firmly on your skin, be gentle.
Shaving head is broken or damaged
A broken or damaged shaving head can be harmful to your skin.
Please check if any part of the shaving head (or trimming head, if available) is broken or damaged.
If so, please replace it with an original Philips shaving head.
We advise you to apply a mild and alcohol-free moisturizing cream after shaving.
If you have very sensitive skin, little bit of irritation is possible and nothing to worry about.
If the irritation lasts longer than 3 days, we advise you to consult a doctor.
