My Philips PMC7230 center hangs during start up

Do a soft reset by following the steps below:

1. Insert a small pin or other sharp object into the reset hole located at the back of the retractable stand of the player

2. Hold until the unit shut down

Note: Your songs and data will not be lost or corrupted by a soft reset.
