Why does my Philips tablet takes so long to boot up?

    Published on 2017-02-28

The device may take a longer time to boot up because:

Large amount of apps / media content in the tablet

    • The tablet may take a longer time to boot up if there are many apps and media content (video / music etc) stored. Therefore, it is recommended to uninstall apps that are seldom used.

SD card is inserted when the tablet is starting

    • If there is a SD card inserted in the tablet, it will also take a longer time for the tablet to boot up. This is because the tablet needs time to process the SD card. You may remove the SD card before booting up the device.

    System refresh after firmware upgrade

    • It would take longer for the first rebooting after a firmware upgrade because the system needs to be refreshed.
