The Sonicare app may ask your permissions to access:
Mobile device functions
Permission to location services is only required if you are using Android 6.0 and up. Access to location services is needed in order to use Bluetooth on your device. Without Bluetooth, you will not be able to connect your toothbrush to the Sonicare app.
The Sonicare app does not require the location service to function and no location data is stored on the device or in the app.
This function enables you to use your Google+ or Facebook account for an easy log in. When using Google+, your device ID and call info are only used if you login using WeChat. Otherwise these services are not used.
This function allows you to create a calendar event with your dentist or hygienist. This is considered as confidential information and is only used for creating your appointments.
Contacts allow you the option to share your brushing progress reports with your dentist or hygienist (using the contacts function). This is only shared under your explicit consent.
Phone permissions are required to directly call Philips Consumer Care if you have any questions regarding your toothbrush or app.
Microphone permissions are required as this will allow the ability to play audio through the app. Microphone access also enables you to use voice control (like Siri or Google Assistant) to open the app. Microphone recordings are not available.
