GoGEARMP3 video player

I have purchased a Philips electric razor, DVD player/recorder, and the Ariaz is my second MP-3 player from Philips. The unit, like the other products, has proved quite reliable, and does what I want exceedingly well. I trust Philips quality and esign greatly, and it is now at the top of my manufacturers of electronic equipment, edging out Sony my favored company for many years.

I like the fact that you can use a variety of audio formats on it and that it plays video with conversion. I don't like that it doesn't play audible audio books. it says please activate your device to play this title and there is no way to activate it. My creative labs player has no problem playing audio books.

A good mp3 player in general. I had it in a drawer for 3 years, loaded it per USB and it woorks like before! The only two negatives are a difficult playlist generation (only with software for PC or during a very boring procedure on the player itself) and the not-so-optimal navigation through arge playlists. You have to scroll through all songs if you want a certain one. You can sort by artist but only if the mp3s are tagged properly.

Not so easy to use but i like that player. If battery could be replaced...

Seemed like it was going to be easy to use, but multiple errors and lockups make the device unusable. A complete hassle. Will synchronize a few hundred tracks and then lock up. No point in having a 16 GB device if you can't fill it up with music. I have used many different MP3 players and this is the worst. I'm going to return it.

First Philips mp3 had to be warrantied due to malfunctioning sound output. The warrantied Philips mp3 that was sent to me, screen quit working after two months.

I just bought it today, it was very impressive when I was at the store. I got shocked when I went home and it doesn't turn on anymore. I checked if maybe there was no more battery but even if I connected it to a pc, it still didn't turn on. I tried connecting the usb cable to my other Philips gogear mp3 at it was working so I guess Ariaz has the problem. Im so disappointed specially that it was a very good buy for its features and price.

This product only worked a couple of times and then only after rebooting it several times. I did not have the internet and I had to go to the library to repair it but it still did not work. By the time I called for technal help it was too late to return this item.
