My Philips Pasta Maker shows an error code. What can I do?

    Published on 25 August 2023
If your Philips Pasta Maker shows an error code, please read our troubleshooting advice below to solve this.
The shaping disc or the lid is not properly attached. Please follow the assembly steps as indicated in the user manual:
    1. Push the mixing chamber into the appliance
    2. Point the mixing paddle to the hole in the main unit. Insert the mixing paddle all the way into the main unit.
    3.  Attach the disc holder to the main unit.
    4. Put the shaping disc onto the disc holder and make sure it is firmly fixed.
    5. Attach the front panel to the main unit
    6. Tightly fasten the front panel control knobs
    7. Close the mixing chamber lid properly. Ensure that the safety pins are correctly inserted into the appliance (see picture below).
    Code E1
If the appliance stops during processing, E2 displays on screen while the indicators flash and you hear the alarm sound, there may be three possible reasons:

    1. The mixing paddle may be blocked by some foreign objects.
Disconnect the Pasta Maker from the power source, open the mixing chamber and remove the foreign objects. If necessary, discard the dough and restart the pasta making.

    1. The dough may be too dry.
In this case, disconnect the Pasta Maker from the power source, clean all the parts properly, and follow the user manual again to restart the pasta making.

Note: It is very important that the flour/liquid ratio is correct, so that the dough shows crumbly (like shredded parmesan) consistency. To get the right consistency, follow the indications in the user manual and weigh the ingredients with a kitchen scale.

    1. The wrong program is selected (for Pasta Maker with Auto-Weighing function only).
Select the correct pasta program according to the pasta/noodles you prepare (“Plain Pasta” for pasta with water only or “Egg/Flavored Pasta” for pasta with egg/water mixture or vegetable juice mixture).
The scale calibration was not successful. Please try the following steps to resolve the issue:
    1. Open the mixing chamber lid.
    2. Switch off and unplug your Pasta Maker. Plug in and restart the device.

If EEEE or E3 is displayed permanently after restarting, please contact us for further assistance.
Switch off and unplug your Pasta Maker. Plug in and restart the device.

If E4 is displayed permanently after restarting, please contact us for further assistance.
There is too little or too much flour in the device. Always pour at least 200g (1.7 cups or 7 oz) but not more than 600g (5.0 cups or 21 oz) of flour into the mixing chamber.
If 999 or 8.32 is blinking on the display, you overfilled the device (999 g or 8.32 cups is the maximum weight of the scale). Please remove flour from the mixing chamber.

Note: The maximum flour amount that can be used to prepare pasta with your Philips Pasta Maker is 600g (5.0 cups or 21 oz), the minimum flour amount is 200g (1.7 cups or 7 oz).

In case 999 or 8.32 is shown on the display although the flour amount is less than 999 g or 8.32 cups, empty the mixing chamber completely, switch off and unplug your Pasta Maker. Plug in and restart the device.

If 999 or 8.32 is displayed permanently after restarting, please contact us for further assistance.
