The DoseWise Portal functionality is at the core of Philips’ comprehensive dose management program. The multi-vendor web-based software solution automatically collects, measures, analyzes and reports radiation exposure data on an individual and group basis and allows for real-time staff exposure measurements. And now it’s been configured to demonstrate compliance with government IT standards.
Comprehensive dose management
The first step in building an effective dose management strategy is collecting complete and accurate data so you can analyze and measure your current performance. DoseWise Portal 2.2 can make data-informed decisions to improve patient care via dose tracking and advanced analytics. This helps facilitate regulatory compliance with Joint Commission standards for improving quality with regard to X-ray dose performance. Customized dashboards indicate when certain systems are underutilized or have started to show undesirable trends related to radiation dose.
VA approved and ready to go
DoseWise Portal has been tested, assessed, and published in v17.2 of the One-VA Technical Reference Model (TRM). It is also meets Enterprise SQL server requirements for VA locations. So, when a VISN (or Office of Information & Technology) is searching for a compliant dose management software, they can be confident the Philips solution is formally approved for VA use. The Veteran-focused Integration Process request (VIPR) intake has also been completed, so the VA is clear on how to internally support DoseWise Portal.
