IntelliSpace Perinatal provides a comprehensive clinical record of care for the mother and newborn. The surveillance functions present information that is transmitted from fetal and fetal/maternal monitors and generate alerts for critical events. Philips worked with the Department of Obstetrics and the Laboratory of Computer Science of the Massachusetts General Hospital¹, incorporating their knowledge, expertise, and years of experience into the development of IntelliSpace Perinatal.

HL7-based ADT link allows demographic data to be downloaded from the HIS and can report transfers and discharges to the HIS. IntelliSpace Pernatal can be fully integrated into the hospital MS Domain infrastructure including user authentication via Microsoft Active Directory services. HL7 export can send a configurable set of flowsheet data including vital signs, derived fetal heart rate parameters, alerts and notes to third-party charting systems.

The system is highly scalable. It can be configured as simple non-stress test (NST) system, as centralized departmental surveillance solution and as a complete departmental point-of -care surveillance and charting solution that allows fetal, maternal, and newborn charting at every bedside.

IntelliSpace Perinatal helps your hospital comply with confidentiality and security regulations through many built-in features. It includes standard user and data authentication as well as user authentication via Microsoft® Active Directory service. Audit trails track which patient records were accessed and by whom, and track all clinical configuration changes. Physical security and disaster recovery is provided. Patient aliases are created and routine reporting is supported.

Philips IntelliSpace Perinatal v. J.00.21, J.00.20 & J.00.10 modular EMR is ONC HIT 2014 Edition compliant and has been certified by ICSA Labs in accordance with the applicable eligible hospital certification criteria adopted by the Secretary of Health and Human Services. This certification does not represent an endorsement by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

 

IntelliSpace Perinatal J.00.21 was certified on November 20st 2017 CHPL ID number: 150037R02, J.00.20 was certified on September 17th 2015 CHPL ID number: 150037R01, and J.00.10 on April 9, 2015 CHPL ID number: 150037R00. Certification criteria for all three versions: 170.314(a)(3), 170.314(a)(4), 170.314(a)(11), 170.314(d)(1), 170.314(d)(2), 170.314(d)(3), 170.314(d)(4), 170.314(d)(5), 170.314(d)(6), 170.314(d)(7), 170.314(d)(8), 170.314(g)(1), 170.314(g)(4).

 

The additional types of costs that an eligible hospital would pay to implement this Health IT Module’s capabilities whether to meet meaningful use objectives and measures or to achieve any other use within the scope of the health IT's certification includes: Provisioning of Microsoft Licenses – Philips Professional Services for Installation and Consulting Services and Software Support contract.

 

Any limitations that an eligible hospital may encounter in the course of implementing and using the Health IT Module’s capabilities, whether to meet meaningful use objectives and measures or to achieve any other use within the scope of the health IT's certification, include:Configuration and customization of the specific version of IntelliSpace Perinatal purchased. Please ensure that attestation is discussed with Philips before implementation. Additional costs and limitations apply to all three versions J.00.21, J.00.20 and J.00.10.
