2000 seriesDVD player

This product comes with none of the necessary cables to make it work. It also does not say anywhere on the packaging that these items are not included. All other similar products I've purchased in the past, came with any needed cables. I'm ok with them not being included... I just wish I had known this before I got home to set it up! It's hard to give a product rating when you can't even use the product...

The DVD player is compact and was a snap to install. Running without a hitch. Picture quality is excellent. The only issue is the slow response from remote.

I tried to get this player up and running for 2 days and finally hit on the right way. Would not accept HDMI but used the RCA cord that came with the unit. Finallly could watch PAL video of a well known German entertainer and it was great. Color was great and picture was sharp. Would recommend this machine and the price was right.

I initially purchased this DVD player as we required a Dvd player that could play multi-regions DVD`s . It was advertised as playing Multi-regions but after unpacking it & setting it up we were very disappointed to find that it didn't. Also when the DVD player is turned on but not in use for some unknown reason while we are watching something on TV the Dvd player will cause the TV to change back to the selected channel that our DVD player works on & will keep on doing this until I pull out the power plug of the DVD player. We have never had this happen on any previous DVD players. Overall the DVD player is ok when it works well but a real nuisance when it plays up. I dont think I would consider buying another Philips DVD player .

I had a hard time getting it to work initially , finally it started working but only on cable not on antenna , so I have to watch my DVD's on my laptop when I canceled my cable ! Real bummer !

Use this product once went to use again it would not open and the LD light would not turn off. Of course the warranty of up.

Ditto to what the other purchaser said "Purchased this product to be used only once a month or so. Worked just fine one time, but the next month the disk holder would not open. Since the unit failed more than 90 days from purchase date the warranty was no good. One use is not a good track record"

Product would not find DVD was loaded after 6 months.

It does not come with an HDMI connector even though the box shows it's HDMI capable. Even two employees at Best Buy said it did. So you but this thing and then have to go out and buy a connector.
