Bottle feeding, 0-3 months
Generally speaking, a baby who loves to take their time is nothing to worry about. There are, however, a few things to keep in mind to make sure your baby is getting enough milk.
First, make sure the flow of the bottle is adapted to your baby’s needs. The looser the flow, the easier it will be to suckle. Also, if your baby has a love of taking siestas midfeed, try tickling their feet, changing positions or burping them to ensure they get a full feed.
As always, let your baby guide you with signs of fullness. A relaxed body, content look and open hands are all signs mealtime is over.
