Bottle feeding, 0-3 months
Did you know that in the first month of a baby’s life their stomach increases from the size of a marble to about the size of a ping pong ball?
As a result, you’ll probably find the frequency of feeds will slightly decrease because your baby is able to drink more milk in one session.
That said, you’ll still need to feed your baby often: around 8-12 feeds per day if your baby is drinking breast milk.
There’s no need to look at the clock. Simply look for hunger cues such as licking lips or searching from side to side as a sign that it’s time for the next meal.
