Learn about the use of spectral Doppler waveforms in the diagnosis of vascular diseases by Duplex Ultrasonography during this lunchtime session led by Muhammad Hasan, MBBCh, RPVI, RVT, RDMS & RDCS. Throughout the course, multiple cases studies will be displayed.
Topics covered at SDMS 2016 :
1. Demonstrate the basic physical knowledge of spectral Doppler waveforms morphology.
2. Describe the relationship of flow perfusion, tissue ischemia and viability with the resistivity and pulsatility of different vascular systems.
3. Understand the normal and abnormal spectral Doppler findings in different arterial and venous circulations.
4. Apply abnormal spectral Doppler imaging findings to more accurately manage different vascular disease to improve outcome.
Fusion and Navigation
Make confident decisions even in challenging diagnostic cases with Philips image fusion and needle navigation capabilities. Streamlined workflow allows clinicians to achieve fast and effective fusion of CT/MR/PET with live ultrasound while needle navigation aids in guiding biopsy of small and difficult-to-access lesions.
