Challenge

We wanted to work with an organization that could help us build the relationship between primary practice and cardiology, specifically. And…able to meet the needs of our patients and doctors, and [Philips] seemed to fit those needs.

Solution

Austin Regional Clinic wanted to collaborate with a partner that could provide easier, faster access to Extended Holter – ePatch and Mobile Cardiac Telemetry – MCOT services when needed. A lack of shared visibility into patient data between PCPs and cardiologists meant a lag in treatment time while a disjointed workflow required physicians to manually retrieve and review an entire report to glean clinically relevant insights.

Austin Regional Clinic partnered with Philips to deliver extended Holter monitoring that is simple and efficient. Philips Extended Holter – ePatch delivers comprehensive, actionable reports quickly so physicians can confer on treatment plans and next steps. Bi-directional integration with Epic EMR brought data into one place. The integration took only 4 weeks vs the usual 3 months needed to integrate1.

Result

Using Philips Extended Holter – ePatch, Austin Regional Clinic has improved communication between PCPs and cardiologists. They now have shared access to better insights through improved reporting and faster time to test results, reduced from 2 to 3 months to only 2 to 3 weeks when referred out to Cardiology1. Bi-directional integration with Epic EMR means streamlined workflows that enable efficient, quality care. Philips Extended Holter – ePatch has helped Austin Regional Clinic expedite patient care by at least 2 to 3 days and improve both physician and patient satisfaction1.

From a patient satisfaction, provider satisfaction and access, it's great. We have the EMR integration, the relationship, and the partnership.
