O-RADS US: The Time Has Come An American College of Radiology (ACR) Consensus

Recorded:
Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at 6:00 PM EST

Speakers:
Dr. Rochelle F. Andreotti, MD, Department of Radiology and Radiological Sciences, Vanderbilt University Medical Center

Objectives:
1. To understand a new standard lexicon for ovarian/adnexal mass evaluation using ultrasound
2. To apply the lexicon to the development of a risk stratification classification incorporating all levels of risk
3. To be aware of management strategies for each risk category, illustrated through cases, that can be reached using lexicon descriptors and/or the International Ovarian Tumor Analysis (IOTA) ADNEX mathematical model.

Description:
O-RADS is an acronym for an Ovarian-Adnexal Imaging-Reporting and Data System, one of 11 ACR RADS. It is a quality assurance tool and clinical decision support system for the standardized description of ovarian/adnexal pathology and its management. O-RADS consists of two arms, ultrasound, the primary modality that will be discussed in this presentation and MRI, the problem-solving tool. O-RADS US includes a common, evidence-based lexicon that is used to categorize all levels of risk and obtain their associated management strategies. Our goal is to optimize ovarian cancer outcomes while minimizing unnecessary surgery in patients at low risk of malignancy.
