Philips launches a new consumer website

67%1 of uncontrolled asthma patients think their asthma is “under control”, but studies prove otherwise.1 In fact, nearly 1 in 3 adults miss at least 1 day of work2 and nearly 1 in 2 children miss at least 1 day of school2 each year.

Philips has launched a new website featuring information to help diagnosed asthma patients effectively manage and control their condition with Philips innovative products and solutions, as part of an asthma action plan. Based on consumer insights, the site is designed to attract and inform parents of children with asthma.

Though the asthma cannot be cured, Philips provides solutions to help patients effectively manage their condition and gives them more freedom to enjoy the important things in life. For example, parents may restrict their child from taking part in physical activities such as sports due to the misconception that asthma sufferers shouldn’t exercise.3
