Point-of-care ultrasound education: an overview

Point-of-care ultrasound (POC ultrasound or POCUS) has become a key diagnostic tool in many specialties as it facilitates rapid and accurate clinical decision making1. However, to integrate the latest technologies and clinical procedures into daily scenarios, point-of-care ultrasound education is vital.

To make POCUS education easier and readily accessible, Philips has created an educational hub where POCUS course programs and e-learning resources are available in just a few clicks.

Philips recognizes that every clinical practice is unique and the need for tailored educational materials and delivery methods are key to meet your specific clinical needs. With this in mind, Philips point-of-care educational resources have been authored and carefully designed by experts in POC ultrasound.

In this overview of Philips’ point-of-care ultrasound education, we’ll provide a list of the wide variety of resources to boost productivity and confidence while ensuring the delivery of outstanding patient care.

Instructor-led point-of-care ultrasound courses

Philips offers a wide selection of instructor-led POCUS ultrasound courses, delivered and supported by a team of highly skilled Clinical Service Specialists (CSS) and, when appropriate, physician experts.

The team of CSS works alongside luminaries in the field to explore how Philips technology can be applied in day-to-day patient care settings. The result is a unique learning environment focused on teaching the fundamental practical skills necessary to introduce POCUS into your daily practice.

The below selection of introductory, CSS instructor-led POCUS topics are available:

These physicians have collaborated with Philips to deliver a customized educational experience based on your particular clinical needs, onsite, which addresses the specific skills required to tackle your most relevant daily challenges.
