In today’s era of value-driven healthcare, health systems are facing more pressure to deliver quality care while lowering costs. Healthcare has become more complex, fragmented, and expensive and something needs to change.
We believe that in order to drive a shift in healthcare, we need a transformation of care delivery – with a focus on improving the metrics that have a direct impact on patients and staff: quality, access, affordability and outcomes.
That’s why at Philips, we’ve pioneered a new kind of partnership – one that works hand-in-hand with a health system to support its financial and operational needs, while promoting innovation as health systems adapt to today’s desires. We call these long-term collaborations Enterprise Partnerships.
Our enterprise partnerships offer hospitals and health systems an operational framework with shared accountability to manage costs, complexity and risk. And beyond that, we support their transition to a more connected, predictive and personalized care delivery. In these partnerships, we have a close focus on both present and future – helping providers achieve operational excellence today, while preparing for a transition to a future of patient-centered, value-based care.
Philips partnerships help health care providers around the US scale high tech solutions – bringing tomorrow’s technology to patients in hospitals today.

Expanding eICU with Miami Baptist Health*
Philips partnered with Miami Baptist Health in South Florida with one shared goal in mind: Revolutionizing critical care delivery. Through ICU applications for telehealth, Philips was able to help Miami Baptist Health provide population-wide health benefits: expanding clinicians’ abilities to care for patients, while adhering to budgets of all sizes. The result? Reduced average length of stay in the ICU and decreased patient mortality rates.
Through an 18-year agreement based on a Managed Equipment Services (MES) model, Philips and MacKenzie Health teamed up to provide best-in-class, future-forward healthcare solutions to this hospital system’s patient community. Our end-to-end partnership provides a full operational framework, from integration of new technologies and services to consulting, education and operations support. The result? Data-driven practice management and patient-centered care solutions.
Philips partnered with NewYork-Presbyterian to expand its telehealth capabilities through Philips remote monitoring. With the help of Philips eCareCoordinator and eCareCompanion, clinicians can monitor patients’ health from a distance and enable more timely consultations with physicians when needed. The result? Reduced length of stay in the hospital, number of preventable hospital readmissions, and frequency of costly visits to the emergency department.
Through an enterprise managed services model, Philips has partnered with WMCHealth to deliver a comprehensive range of clinical and business consulting services, as well as advanced medical technologies - from imaging systems and patient monitoring to telehealth (Philips eICU) and clinical informatics solutions for an end-to-end approach in transforming care. The result? Increased utilization, reduced readmissions, and better patient and staff experience.
