Alternatively, air can be supplied by the customer facility air delivery system & by utilizing the Air Buffer device supplied by Philips. The Air Buffer device is designed to further enhance system stability and improve room layout. Therefore it is considered to be a preferred option than the Air Compressor Unit.
Note that there are specific criteria* for implementing the Air Buffer device for the proper CT system functionality and performance:
- Air pressure = 7-10 bar (116-145 psi)
- Min. air flow rate of 150 liter/min. (39.6 gal./min.)
- Air purity must comply with ISO 8573-1:2010, Quality class 3.4.3
*If your facility air delivery system does not comply with the requirements above, contact your Philips representative and ask for the Air Compressor Unit to be delivered with the CT system.
