And for his next trick, Jerry Sharp will perform a balancing act! That’s exactly what he did at Philips while juggling work, family and the completion of his MBA degree. Now, after 12 years with Philips and 28 years in customer service, Jerry recognizes the importance of integrating his education with effective communication. “It’s important to have strong communication and customer service skills. My customers are part of my team,” he says. Looking back on his career, Jerry will most value the relationships he’s built with his peers and customers, keeping in touch even after they have gone separate ways.
