Philips teamed up with the Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and The American Legion through Project ATLAS to donate telehealth solutions which allow Veterans to conduct virtual appointments with their VA care teams. The first ATLAS telehealth pod opened in Eureka, Montana, bringing high quality VA healthcare to Veterans closer to home.
We serve 9 million Veterans in this country. 33% - or a little more than 3 million – live in rural communities….We want to bring healthcare to where they live.
Telehealth is vital to increasing access and removing geographic and digital barriers to care. Philips teamed up with the Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and The American Legion through Project ATLAS to donate telehealth solutions which allow Veterans to conduct virtual appointments with their VA care teams.
The first ATLAS telehealth pod opened in Eureka, Montana. Housed in VFW Post 6786, it helps local Veterans get the care they need in a timely manner. It also saves Veterans hundreds of miles and many hours of drive time, as the closest VA clinic is 70 miles away in Kalispel, Montana, while the closest VA Medical Center is four hours away, in Helena.
Any one Veteran that’s having issues, if that can be addressed here, in the pod, the entire community benefits.
This new ATLAS site brings high quality VA healthcare to Veterans closer to home, which has the potential to transform lives in and around Eureka.
