In this webinar, he delves into which clinical questions can be answered with point-of-care sonography, shares ways to scan a pregnant woman and makes suggestions about communicating the findings to her.
In his work as a paramedic, Christifulli finds it useful to separate prehospital obstetric ultrasound into three areas: the mom, baby and the placenta. When doing the ultrasound assessment, he first works to find out if the mother is OK, and then zeroes in on the baby, including getting images of the baby’s lungs and heart, before looking at the placenta.
